Where ever your ECU is, there should be a port that will allow a chip to be installed. Maybe I'm wrong, but thats how most cars work. The ECU should be somewhere in the engine bay or in the kick panels.

hmmmm, i don't ever remember a Toyota using a 'chip', but i do remember that some of the ECU's were 'serviceable'. but, even that is sort of 50/50 since the Toyota ECU resolution is pretty great. you might try www.japanese-auto.com to see if a TecTom upgrade is available.
