Default Chip question

I was wondering the difference between having a tuned ECU and having a chip installed.

The previous owner of my car had a skunk 2 chip installed but I was wondering if the car would still benefit from a professional tune? Or does the chip pretty much take care of that?

Also, I have a 95 Integra LS and it doesnt have the rear window wiper/motor. There was a plastic black plug that covered it but someone stole that so I'm looking for a place to get one from. Before the smart ass comments come: Im not stealing one off of another teg and Im not really trying to go to a junkyard for a $2 plastic piece.

Thanks in advance

Yes, get it tuned. Well, let me qualify that. If you want more power, and want better fuel economy, get it tuned. The normal (read: fake) 'Skunk2' chips usually make most engines run excessively rich, and a little rough. So you're not doing yourself many favors by having it in there.

If is already has a chip in it, the modifications to get it tuned are already done. When it is tuned, the new (tuned) program will be put on a chip and inserted in place of the one that is in there now.

Always get a tune for your set-up..... those "chips" are tuned for a an xxx set-up..... get my point?... some of those chips can actually harm your motor than do good.

As far as the rear wiper blade plug, the dealership sells them. They actually have a part number for that.
