Question Notiiceable gains at all?

Anyone notice any performance difference from an OBD2 to OBD1 conversion in an all motor setup?

No. You're not getting any gains from the conversion, only from whatever small changes or differences there are in the engine mapping between different years of ECUs. Don't convert unless you're tuning with an OBD1-only setup, like Hondata or Uberdata. Don't waste your time and money if you aren't.

yup. only reason to switch over is for od1 engine swaps or to tune like fabrik8 said, because hondata, uberdate + others aren't compatible with obd2

The reason he's looking to do a OBD1 conversion is because his new header doesn't have a second O2 bung and it eliminates the cat. So the first cheap things to try would be an O2 sensor eliminator (resistor) or weld in an extended O2 bung to get the other (missing) O2 sensor out of the airflow a litle to compensate for the cat not being there.

This is of course for off-road use only..
