Argh, you're joking..
Vtec shouldn't be set according to where you shift.
It should be set so the power transition is seamless, so there is no drop in power before vtec engages. if you can feel vtec engage, it's probably set wrong. It's hard to set without a low cam only and high cam only dyno pull though. Where the two graphs overlap is where vtec should be set, that way you're not losing power at the top end of the low cam and picking power up a lot at the bottom of the high cam.

Vtec engagement rpm isn't for your shifting convenience, it's for best power band.

I think 4800-5200 is a good choice
