just did a mini me swap, tried to play with idling screw on the throttle body, changed sparkplugs,new distributor placed on and advanced it. New gasoline, ofcoarse it is not the fuel filter.


car turns on til 2000 rpms and plumits to 1000 for some minutes, check engine light will come on. Than the motor will drop to 1000rpms to 250rpms and shuts off by itself.

car has comp cams stage 2 not advanced or retarded, ported and polished, new valvesprings and titanium retainers. Header, intake just put on. I have vhanged the ecu to a p28 non vtec back and forth , same result.

I also pulled the vaccuum hose from the intake manifold to the fuel pressure regulator seems to help it from dying and rev alittle higher and more consistant. Do you guys think it can be the sensors on the throttle body, intake manifold? Like the IAC sensor, TPS sensor MAF sensor? Which one? Any other suggestions?

What do you guys think that went wrong?
