idleing issure
ok so i have 3 cars as it is and im stupid to buy another but it was a deal i would never pass up
its a 93 coupe with a d15b8,ive noticed hf intake manifold(small ass throttle body)
well here it is,the car will start, instantly idle high as hell then will shut off.if i give it gas wo keep it on,the intake will shoot air out and make cracking noises, also there is a plug just hanging out and im not sure of what it goes to,one goes to the map sensor, one goes to the throttle body sensor?and the other im not sure of
any ideas will be greatly appreciated

im sort of going through the same thing. 1st off you need to know what codes you are throwing.

once you know what codes youre throwing, youll probably find out what sensors that are bad thats making your idle go up and down and replace them. on my new car i just bought, it was my ECT water temp sensor, the vtec pressure plug was plugged into there. and if the ect is missing the computer will blog up and down and have a hard start up. good luck
also do you have an aftermarket intake filter? a common problem is youre fitv/iacv might be dirty. making the idle rough.
