stick finger in, crank motor, bleed all over tranny

you are bleeding the clutch.

two person job

one person(1) in drivers seat the other(2) with a 10mm line wrench on the bleeder of the slave cyl.

1 pushes clutch pedal to the floor and holds

2 opens the bleeder slightly to let some air out then shuts it

1 lifts pedal up and presses again

2 opens and closes bleader again

continue untill fluid has no air bubbles (i like to continue till the fluid is clear)

it is wise to connect a hose to the bleeder nipple and put it into a beer can with the tab reversed. this keeps the mess contained. Remember to keep the master cyl filled with fluid the whole time. dot3+ brake fluid can be used

Yeah, I was seriously confused about that too. I didn't automatically think "clutch" when he said "tranny".
