you can get older systems with an obd0 ecu, but its not worth the hassle. obd2 for hondas are not chip-able (as far as i have heard). Your best bet is obd1 ecu or an AEM system. converting to OBD1 isnt that hard, just get the proper conversion hardware and you're good to go.

Hondata Stage 1/2 and 3. Wouldn't be a Hassle at all, plugs right into the OBD0 ECU? Only deal is finding a tuner to use the old version software.
And why would you recommend a thousand dollar AEM system when he has an 0BD0 90 Teg or the 00 lude w/ light Mods???
Google search on the Stage 2. Look on Hondata web site:

i suggested the AEM to the user who wanted to boost his 90 teg. therefore many mods.
I have dealt with obd0 cars. obd1 is the best way to go. its a hell of a lot easier to deal with obd1 system than the obd0 and there is more reliability with these parts. there is more ease to replace broken parts on OBD1. OBD0 is old an outdated and therefore parts arent as easy to come by. convert to OBD1 and its so much easier.

There was Hondata systems for the OBD0 PR3 and PW0 ECUs, but it's no longer officially supported by Hondata. There are options available for freeware tuning (TurboEdit) some OBD0 ECUs though.

There isn't any way to chip or reflash OBD2 Honda ECUs though, no.

I would look at BRE for the obd0 stuff as it is still suported by the code maker.
