ok, a buddy of mine at work is trying to build himself a honda race car and has a few guidelines hes trying to follow.

he wants to build a car with a motor was BUILT and PRODUCED in the united states.

what would the best honda motor be to fit the criteria.

where are all of the B and H series motors actually BUILT and ASSEMBLED??

not for sure yet, probably something between 88-95

hes a wierd guy and asked me to look into this for him.

 

y did he pick a honda if he wants an american motor? makes no sense

 

cause they have this thing called HONDA OF AMERICA.....im sure you know all hondas and honda engines are not made solely in japan, that may be where there designed and what not, but his criteria was american motor, so that would fall under his criteria i guess......

 

Maybe USDM vs JDM motor?????? In that case...lol...

just tell him all USDM motors were made in america so he quits being whiney....hah

 

For a civic if the Vin starts with a 1 it was made in USA if it starts with a J it was made in Japan. And no mater what motor it is it will not have a number after the letter. IE: USDM B18C1 JDM B18C.
