Help SR20det wont start!!!
Check timing, check dist. cap, check correct arrangement of spark wires, check plugs, timing timing timing.
After tearing my motor apart and putting it back together my first and second cylinder wires were mixed up. I put them in the right place and she is purring.

oh and the big difference is that is has an ignitor chip or transistor chip. It has spark i checked it out using a screwdriver.

If you have spark check the to make sure it is firing in the right order. Check timing, unless the timing was never messed with.

The SR20DET is distributorless......And there is absolutely no way to plug the wrong wires (Individual coil packs) up......
Edit: SR20DET ECU
E5 is from a 94-96 180sx black top 5 speed
E6 is from a 94-96 180sx blacktop automatic
WC is from a 94-98 S14 Silvia
62 is from a 91-93 180sx or S13 Silvia 5 speed
61,63 is from a 91-93 180sx or S13 Silvia automatic
J4 is from a 97-98 180sx Type X 5speed
You will have a sticker on your ECU that has one of these letter/number combo's........An E5 and a 62 are the exact same ECU's, regardless of weather or not they were made for a blacktop/redtop whatever.....
Info sourced from here.......A lot of good info packed in this site.....

i almost had the same issue. i thought i had fuel and spark. i had fuel b/c the engine kept flooding, and i had spark b/c the the engine would misfire like hell. but the spark was way off. after fixing my timing and doing everything over and over again, i checked my wiring. my ignitor wiring was way off. as soon as i corrected my mistake, she fired on the first try. also, if you engine is flooded, make sure u clean off ur spark plugs after every startup attempt. if its flooded really bad (my case, i drained a battery trying to start it) make sure you change the oil b/c its have lots of fuel in it. hope this help.
