As far as boost goes, I run 14psi daily using 550s and an AFC and im still running rich. Pat runs about the same psi on stock fuel injectors and no fuel controlers. Bumping your system to 15psi using the basic map settings on Road Race Engineerings website in conjunction with an aftermarket pump, everything should be straight.

One more thing, if you need injectors I have some 550s im getting rid of. just PM me if interested

It works just plain in simple that it keeps the parts that are ment to be hot stay hot and what is sopossed to be cold stays cold.

Wrapping your exhaust won't really hurt anything. What it will definatly do is lower your oil temperatures since the d/p runs under the oil pan.

The theory that some people use is that if you wrap the down pipe, you are keeping the gas hot, which is expanded. As the exhaust cools, it condenses. As to will this make an effect on your car? Probobly not.

On the boost subject, I run 18psi on the street with my 17C. I've got 550's, Walbro FP (hardwired), VPC, AFC and a Charged Air Adjustable FPR. I've got my fuel trimmed pretty good except at idle. At idle it sucks completely because of the cams I have, not nearly enough vaccum so it runs so rich it's not funny. On a 16G, you should be able to go better then 10psi with 450's. I would assume 15, but don't quote me on that, I have a 1G.

I ran 14 psi at the track yesterday and was detonating at the top of 3rd. My AFC values were all set to 0. My 02 voltage when I heard the first pop was .87v. I still ran a 13.8 @ 97mph on a 1.93 60'. I must have detonated and let off the gas right before the finish line, because a run I made on the stock turbo, I hit 14.1 @ 99mph. That was the only pass I made all night. I'm not going to run again until I get the car tuned professionally with larger injectors.
