im haveing a issue with my gsr starting for like a second and then shutting off and when it does it. it completely shuts off no check engine light nothing just turns off. if u wait a while or do it a couple times it will finally turn on and it does it random it doesnt have this issue all the time please help

 

i had this problem in my hatch and my friends acura legend. both cases it was the main relay. belive it or not when it happened i would smak my dash on the lower left beside the steering wheel (against the door kinda towars the bottom) and it would fire right up

 

so do i need a new one

 

more than likely i would say yeah. u can usually jack them from the junkyard, just grab a couple. i dont know if it has to be specificly out of a teg, but i know most hondas have them and im sure they are all similar. but im not positive.

 

^ could be the main relay ... or could be your coil in your distributer going bad ( shorted out ) how many miles on motor healthy tune up goes a long way ( cap rotor plugs wires COIL) lol

 

brand new rebuilt motor the distributor has like 120000 miles but new cap and rotor
