if i double clutch it it doesnt grind

 

your just giving the tranny time to slow down the synchros usally arent the problem its the teeth on the bottom of the gear its self they get rounded over not leting every thing mesh together you can try changing the fluid it may help get some of the metal out of the tranny as for the gm stuff it might work never used it

 

GM Syncromesh is probably the best thing you could ever to do a manual transmission

 

do the gears pop out at all or does 2nd just have trouble going in.
