Question Got questions,, EX 96 Vtec

Should i keep me actual engine and upgrade it, i still have my stock engine, d16Y8 (VTEC), a good 127 plus headers, muffler, cold air intake, spark plug wires.
My plans are like any body else maek it faster, so if you guys could give me ideas of whats the best bet between budget and good performance, so im opened to sugestions.
And this is what so far ive been thinking either a gsr b18c1 or the type r B18C5, well people pls give me answers, any point of view from my stock d16 to any prices or best shots with his engines.
Like i said im open to any idea, even if a have to spend more, i just want to see the options and see what its better for me.
THANKS

Fuel rails really dont matter, stock oem fuel rails can support well over 200 hp, so its all about the ecu and tuning. If you going N/A then its a lot more money and time to make the slightest amount of HP.

I definetly agree to boost it!!! I would get a dsm t25, and build you a kit. It would cost around 800 dollars, You should also consider converting to OBD1, and use a p28 ecu that way you will be able to tune your ecu next to nothign!

you know the 92-95 Si civic tranny (d16z6 tranny) is EXACTLY the same tranny as the one you had on there before, right?
