gauge reading lean.......bad o2 sensor?

gauge reading lean.......bad o2 sensor?
ok so anyways, as i talked about before, i had a huge rats nest behind my radio and gauges, so i took it to a shop and they fixed the rats nest and hooked up some brand new gauges. so anyways when i got home i noticed my air to fuel ratio gauge was reading lean. its a crappy lil narrowband gauge and its hooked up to my o2 sensor somewhere im guessing. and i wanted to know what could cause my gauge to run lean. can a burnt out o2 sensor cause the gauge to read lean? the car runs fine by the way.

1> Exhaust Leak
2> Shitty splice/lack of splice (most likely)
3> O2 (least likely)
Since it sounds like the shop messed with your wiring, I would trace the wire back and MAKE SURE IT IS CONNECTED. If I remember correctly, narrowbands with no signal read "lean" by default. Furthermore, narrowbands are useless junk unless you are looking for the "rave party" type lighting scheme in your car. Buy a wideband if you really care about your a/f.
If it REALLY is a bad o2...you will not be lean, you will be PIG ASS RICH. Symptoms include: 5-15 mpg loss, black soot on bumper, dead rings from washout
