First off its a b16 swap. It was my first time doin timing and i did everything right except the intake cam was off a couple teeth. would the car still start if that timing is off, it will crank up but it wont start. and also my distibutor is rotating when i try to start it what is up with that.

 

fix your cam timing...it isn't hard. even if you do get your car running w/ the cam timing off, it will run like ass. also, when you mean distributor "rotaing," do you mean that the distributor housing moves when crank the motor over? if this is so, the distributor is off 180 degrees. remove dizzy and reinstall correctly. HTH

your distributor is moving...you mean the whole thing is rotating? or just the rotor button?



this really does sound so stupid that i think its a joke...but if you are serious about these questions, you should step away from the engine...
