Cooling problem (All welcome)

Cooling problem (All welcome)
Radiator fan isn't working. I have a few choices:
A. Test fan, find the problem (most likely thermo.) and replace with new parts.
B. Test fan, if working route manual switch into cockpit. (Cheap and easy.)
3. Test fan, find out the problem is the fan and replace.
D. Buy new fan and a switch for manual engagement in the cockpit.
I just got done fixing the coolant lines and I'm not trying to spend alot or mess around with this. I just want it done, any comments or other ideas?

Re: Cooling problem (All welcome)
you can also get aftermarket fan switches. They usually are temperature probes that fit between the fins of the radiator. Once the probe reaches a certain temperature, it kicks on the fan. You can pick up at any auto parts store. We are actually wiring up one for my friend's supra. More wiring but just another option for you.

i'd say do it however it takes to get it back to exactly the way it operated before you removed it or better. i wouldnt bullshit anything to do with cooling. spend the money on good parts and fix it right, whichever option that may be.

If you are looking for some kind of notificaiton that it's working, you can make a display light parallel to the fan motor circuit. This will only tell you if your fan is getting power, kinda the same as a manual switch. If you have a bad fan, a display light or a manual switch won't help you.
All the notification I need is to hear it running, and if I can switch it on and off manually then I'm happy.
