Default check engine?!? injection changes

so here's the deal when i start up my car it runs fine and when its fully warmed up injection on my AVC-R is around 1.2%-1.9% at idle.

the thing is, when i drive it around casually. out of nowhere the check engine light comes on. and injection changes to around 4% and up at idle.

the check engine code was for the speed sensor because my mph on the cluster isnt moving. and occationally it jumps and starts working.

someone help explain why injection changes like that when the check comes on? thanks.

The ecu is changing parameters to put the engine in "safe mode". I say you try to unplug the speed sensor and spray both the female and male sides of the connectors with a non chlorinated brake cleaner. Obviously let it dry out and then replug the sensor. If you continue to have the problem then you may need to purchase a new electrical portion of the sensor. I had to clean mine a couple of times actually.
