Default car smokes at high rpm

i have a b16 in my teg, and at high rmps around like 6.5-7k i get some smoke, i was thinking it might be valve seals but not really sure any advice would be nice. and also this might be a stupid question, but oh well, im running the stock b16 with a edelbrock intake mani and throtle body and a p28 that is chiped with a mugen chip i do believe im not really sure that is how i bought it and the guy said its a mugen chip. but anyway, the car runs a little rich i was thinking this could be eather from the intake giving to much fuel, or a computer issue, any advice would be good. thanks in advance

ok well you dont really have anything to worry about...heres what i think :

you have a chipped ecu...where it probably raises the fuel maps, and air maps between 6.5 and 7 k rpm..right past vtec engagement..to supply the engine with more energy..therefore burning more gas...if you have an excessive amount of fuel dumped at one time..you're gonna run rich..causing "black" smoke to come out...i mean im not saying its good to ride around like that..but if i were you..i would get another ECU,that has a simple chip in it..nothing too fancy..throw it on...and see what that does...

if that doesnt work..and it still runs rich at that certain rpm...check your O2 sensor..and other parts related to burning excessive fuel.

and if its just a "little" smoke..then dont worry too much about it..most of the time..running rich on a honda cant be helped..i mean im boosted...and theres almost no way i will "never" see black smoke..or never run rich..as long as you're not flooding your cylinders with fuel..you'll be fine.

also, one other thing i have been noticing is that when i punch it, it kinda Hesitates a little at first then it picks up. my thought is that the computer is giving the engine more fuel then it needs and kinda choking the motor and the motor is taking more time to burn the extra fuel witch is causing the hesitation.
