b16 cuts out at high rpm
not sure where to start with this one only thing that makes sence to me is the dizzy but im not sure the car seems to run fine all the way to around 8 k and then it just stops instantly and if i try to accelerate it just bogs down if i cut the ignition and turn it right back its fine again anyone know ?

these answers are special but the ecu is chipped with chrome p28 rev limiter is 9800 motor has rods and pistons dc header and a intake i checked codes today theres one for o2 sensor i think it might be running in safe mode have no idea what that all about i know the car is still quick not sure exactly what the safe mode thing is all about someone else brought it to my attention

I'd have more work done than just rods and pistons before going anywhere near a 9800 RPM rev limiter. You're just asking to bend some valves really fast.
Probably the O2 sensor is causing the ECU to default to a safe mode, I don't know why it would do that though because I don't think the ECU actually uses the O2 sensor at that high RPM. It could be the distributor though; if you're losing crank or cam position it might make the ECU hiccup and go into limp home. And CELs when it starts to act weird?

replaced the O2 and then do some head work before 9800 sounds like a good idea. it sounds like a good build thought but some spring and retainers would do you some good. what kinda of pistons and rods are they btw???
