boost problem :( :( :( HELP
ok, todays project was installing a Hallman Manual Boost Controller.
i was told to take the line off the turbo that runs to the #2 solenoid.
- run line from turbo to BC inlet
- take line from solenoid #2 to wastegate actuator and unplug it from the wastegate
- run line from BC outlet to stock wastegate actuator.
now i can only get 4lbs of boost no matter what the BC setting is.
am i missing something? hooked up right? do i NEED to bypass that solenoid?
broken boost controller?
help. 4lbs sucks. im used to 12 on street tune, and i want more, not less.

Re: boost problem :( :( :( HELP
if the hallman is anything like the turbosmart manual boost controller then you should be running the "T" "inline" with the compressor and wastegate
it seems what you described is correct
the fitting at the top of the wastegate should be open w/ no vaccuum lines attached.
one vaccuum line goes from compressor to the actuator on the wastegate. cut in the middle of that line and install the boost "t" correctly there.
should look like this:
COMPRESSOR>>>>>>>>BOOST CONTROLLER>>>>>>>WASTEGATE ACTUATOR
..make sure the boost controller inlet and outlet are facing the correct way.
