A 2g needs the 1g oil return, but can get by with the stock water lines with a little modification. The 1g lines are easier though.

you can modify the stock return line to work too
a little drilling and twisting and you are good to go

Rings are gone allowing oil to be pushed into the combustion chamber and out the exhaust. if you replace then rehone the walls and get yourself a new head gasket and acl bearings.
