BIG DSM PROBLEM...IF YOU KNOW YOUR ECLIPSE GET IN HERE
I cant believe no one said your head might be fucked. If you over heated your engine you probably had grinded one of your pistons against the wall of its chamber. Therefore oil leaks through and your smokin blue all the way down the street. LOL That of course is the worst case situation. I am going through that right now and I am boreing out my block as we speak. Ohh well, you play hard you pay hard, borein my shit out just adds more hp when I'm done. See you on the streets!! Also if you are going in the shop. You might want to get rid of your balance shafts in your block. It limits the 4G63, the kit to replace them is around 50 bucks. Later

I am going to say turbo or the valve seeds.Change your oil and see if there is any coolant mixed with it.How many miles do you have on your car?I hope you got some money saved up.

that still doesn't make it a limit.. all it is is extra moving parts.. you gain power because you are removing rotating mass... 5hp seems a little on the high side IMO though
it's alot more reasonable than the 10-15hp claims that run around on StarQuest boards. lol. i dunno, but i guess it was a shitty design on the G54B. they're more a failing point than on any other car i've seen. the G54B is the more experimental of the Mitsu motors anyway, so it doesn't suprise me that they designed stuff stupidly. i mean, take the TBI (throttlebody injection) and jet valves on a turbo'd car. oh well, i love em anyway.
