Default bent valves

I got this D16z6 head that has a couple bent valves and am currently ripping it apart. I'm obviously going to put new valves in it but should I replace the valve guides also? They look pressed in and I am trying to stay away from a shop if I can. Any info on this project would be appreciated.

Default Re: bent valves

only replace them if they have play in them. with the valve in the guide wiggle the valve back and forth. it shouldnt move very much if at all. if the movement is excessive you may have to replace them. abacus does them for like 10/guide installed parts and labor. the exhaust valve guides are the most prone to wearing out due to the extra heat on them.
