I'd go with SMSP. Not to nut ride, but his headers are sick. If I could afford one, I'd rock one on my mild all motor setup.

If you have the budget for one, get it.

About the crossmember, I'd buy aftermarket traction bar setup for your car. Those stock cross members are a PITA.

I must warn you though...a big header + a B swap + 1.5" or greater drop on a CRX/4th gen civic = crushed headers. So my advice would to have Dave build a custom B19 set to fit above the oil pan.

yeah traction bars are a very good investment if you plan on making power and freeing up some space in front of the motor down low.

and honestly a simple type-r header will do the motor justice and make good power since your gonna have a mild-to-stock build.

Once I get the header done, I'm going to custom build my own traction bar/crossmember using oem bars and bushing. I'm not a big fan of those aftermarket "solid" setups especially on my streetable CRX.

Will the type-r clear both the oil pan on the B20 and the stodk crossmember?

The ITR/CTR header's will hang slightly below any B series oil pan. The stock front crossmember will still need to be cut/modified.

I think at this point I'm pretty much decided on a full-race traction bar and either a knock-off HT header or an SMSP. Thanks everyone for all the responses!
