Forged rods and pistons will rev up on that crank, maybe dish out some extra and get custom rods/pistons...
Use the non-vtec head, don't waste the money...
Build the block and TUNE it, keep it alive using the suggestions John wrote.
The main thing to look at running turbo (a lil exp. here) is keeping everything cool and lubricated. This is done with the right fuel system, oil system, and coolant system.. also your exhaust will benefit (lower heat/back pressure) from 3" piping and the least amount of bends.
Turbo doesn't like obstructions in the exhaust.. so please use a Hi-Flow Cat, turbo motors pump out tons more fumes than N/A and without the Cat we are just destroying our own future. Use a Cat.
