Default 93 civic dx turbo question

I have a d15b7. I have never thought of turbo charging any of my cars but I am thinking it would not be a bad idea to buy a good turbo setup off dragva(i saw one for 1300 dollars) and install it on my single cam... I am only hoping to make around 170 to the wheels. I am not trying to make it more than a 14 second car but if I can that's great! The only reason why I don't want to do a motor swap is because I only have 80000 miles on it and I do not want the motor to go to waste. Is it a waste to turbo charge a d15b7 and is it fairly easy. Me and my friends would be installing it.

no it wouldn't be a waste but I think you dont know what your getting yourself into and you should read up on forced induction.... just cause you have a turbo kit doesn't mean you can throw it on.
