have you done it before. i mean i looked at a repair manual and it didnt look that hard. but i never done it and they are pros.

never syncros but diff and rebuild(new bearings ect).
for what its worth i'd rather find a nice used on at the junkyard:]

never know what you get at a junk yard. that is where i got this one at.

before you do any of that stuff try spending about 12 bucks at a GM dealer and buy some syncromesh. its basically tranny fluid that has been known to fix similar problems.

if that doesnt work, youre prolly better off buying a new tranny (or new to you at least) and bolting it up. gl

edit: if youve been 'speed shifting' (or shifting hard as you call it) on a sohc you're prolly tearing it up... lol

to be honest, i have no idea what the stuff is made of but im sure you can find better info on wiki or google in general. i know its just for transmissions and it has some qualities that allow it to repair tranny grinds. good luck
