my girl hit a curb with her passenger side tire and caused her airbags to deploy. since the airbags are deployed will it not let the transmission to shift. also its an automatic. i can put it in all the gears but it just revs and doesnt go anywhere. i thought maybe the axle had popped out but the speedo still reads 0mph when i rev it.

 

that will not do it ..the axle is messed up more than likely

 

theres something else wrong with the car.... also, speedo is not gonna read unless the car moves, simply revving the car will not make a speedo move... or, are you referring to the tachometer?

 

If I remember correctly, honda speedometer pickup is off the diff. in the transmission. If he is putting it in drive and it just revs up and the mph stays at zero then something internally is broke and the diff. is not turning in the transmission.

If he was brining the rpm up with it in drive and the mph went up then it would lead me to believe the axle was out/broken.

Maybe I am thinking wrong though

 

sry guys, got home from work and jacked up the car and seen a softball size hole in the trans. thanks anyways. anyone got an ls auto trans?
