hopefully you are familiar with
http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c...c/compcalc.php
I would probably go with some stage 1's or some type r cams if you can find them, stage 2's aren't going to be practical for you unless you want to bump up your compression.
How are you tuning this? VAFC? Chrome? Hondata? you can go to www.hondata.com and find a tuner near you.... if you are near nova, I would say check out http://www.sgt-racing.com/indexa.html I have heard nothing but great things from them.

they were designed for racing classes that didnt let you run vtech or vvt-i motors and so on and so forth. yes u need to up the compression and ur idle will deff be shitty. so if ur planing on doing it i would just sell ur motor and buy a ls and build the shit out of it. no point in building a vtech motor just to take away the vtech in the end and lose ur power band

Thats ignorant.

A ported LS head will still be out flowed by a STOCK VTEC head.

Plus one of the biggest NONVTEC cams is pretty damn close to a ITR cam.

I agree with Jarrod. VTEC head castings simply flow better.

either way i am not gonna build an all-motor ls- whats the point! in the end it is still a non-vtec. but i appreciate all the comments and advice! i think i might just keep it oem (not that its that way now) and get some itr cams and call it a day cause i really wanna do a turbo build so why put a whole lot of money into it when it might be changed a few months down the road. once again thanks for all the suggestions.

LOL. I doubt it.

Got any flowbenches to prove it?

YOUR BOY IS DA MASTER PORTERZZZZZZZZZ OMGZZZ.

There are other differences that make a LS head suck. Such as the rocker arms, and the smaller valves and maybe the fucking fact that one of their biggest cams is ONLY THE SAME SIZE AS A ITR CAM.

Revn211-
If you have the stuff laying around for a all motor or cammed ls motor, do it. Theres no shame in it. Only reason I'm not doing it again is because I sold my ported head with valve train and I only got the cams left.

My all motor LS held it's own against many cars.
