Lowering/kickstand question for the experts? . . . . .
Ha I dont know what to tell you, maybe I have the stumpy little legs, or the bike just sits a little high, I'm new to riding, and I agree about losing the handling aspect when lowering it, although I'm not experienced enough to really "see what the bike can do." Just when I ride and start to come to a stop and put my feet down it seems like I'm searching for the ground . . . . I looked into the different seats but most people I talked to said the links would be an inexpensive way to get a more comforatable riding stance without screwing the bike up too much . . . . but I'm open to any other good options . . .
In all honesty, the amount you want to lower your bike won't affect the lean angle of your bike enough to get a custom kickstand. Unless you're like this forum's favorite Oompa Loompa and have to drop your bike 5 inches to tippy toe, you should be fine using the stock kickstand with your 1-1.5" drop.
