Do any of you know if 1980 did toyota trucks have tilt steering. If not do you know what years the steering column can interchange. See my girlfriends dad bought a 1931 model a truck that was put together using a toyota donor truck and there isn't enough room in the cab for him to shift so I was wondering if I could change the steering column to a tilt style to get some extra room for a easy fix. Any info would help or if you actually have a old toyota laying around that has one, let me know. Thanks

 

I know the late '80 models had it. Not sure about the earlier models though. What year was the donor truck?

 

It's suppose to be from a 80 or 81. It has the 22r motor

 

I don't believe tilt started until 85 or 86, but I could very well be wrong.

didnt start till 85 i believe i got a 86 and it has it but my 83 i use to didnt have it

 

i have a 84 and it dont have tilt

 

'82 and '83 SR5 4x4's had them. I have had them in the past. Check ebay
