Another NNBS - 12" Cognito, 3" body lift, 44'' Trxus on 20" Weld Dakars
sas is a waste unless you are going to do some trail riding with it. the only reason i sas'd my yota is for the strength and flex for rockcrawling.
I think a truck that big is absolutly retarded unless it has a solid axle swap. You spend that much money and can't do the swap? Also, if you can afford 12'' springs you can afford 15'' springs, fuck a body lift. Sometimes Im surprised how much money people will spend and still cut corners. Id like to see the rear set up too, because its sags a bit. Thats another thing that gets me, trucks that sag in the ass.
For a daily driver, I'd definitely prefer a ifs to solid axle just so it has a comfortable ride. I'm sure his lift cost a lot more than a sas so I don't think he's cutting corners. I'm pretty sure everything will hold up unless he decides to take it offroad.
Well for one, for a daily driver I would prefer a truck on something a little smaller than 40's. Not to mention, my truck with nice shocks and springs has quite the comfy ride for being a solid axle, as do quite a few of my friends with nice set ups. By cutting corners I mean going with a 3 inch body lift over some 3 inch taller springs. I know the difference cannot be that much when you get to springs that tall. Everything may hold up, but whats the point of a truck on 40's that just rolls down the street? If he doesn't take it off-road its damn near pointless.
the prob with ifs is not just axle strength but 44's are heavy and obviously stick out which stress the wheel bearings, ball joints and the a'arms . . . .
anyone have any experience with those tires pictured on that truck? im thinking about getting those as my next set of tires.
had a set for a week lol. . . what do you wanna do with the tires . . .. they are an ok street tire but wear fast like any swamper . . they are designed for sand . . . .
