I go from Burke to Reston 4 days a week in the morning and it's a pain once we're in Reston. The backroads are packed as well as the parkway. On the way there I always pass GMU and the cops have a field day of tickets every single day of the week on that road.

Last two years I went to school in Alexandria and once we got near the exit for telegraph road (getting near the drawbridge) there would be traffic that NEVER moved.

I haven't been through either at rush hour though.. that's got to be the worst.

there are a few ways to go:

1.) Rt. 605 to Rt. 28 and come in Wellington the back way (8 extra miles and doesn't save any time) - sucks

2.) Rt. 29 (lee highway) all the way to Litton Hall and take litton hall to the cut over to wellington - sucks

3.) Take Rt. 600 at New Baltimore to 55E to 66E - sucks but actually is the fastes way now

4.) Take 29 to Rt. 15N to 66E - really sucks

so what is your way?

no problem. just for shits and giggles though you should try driving down RT 15 to Lee Highway and turn left and come into Gainesville that way around 8:00am on a Tuesday. heh. That 3 mile stretch will take 15-45 minutes and it is usually averaging 25-30 min now.

Yup, I live less than 7 miles from work and it takes me 30-45 minutes everyday. But you all think we got it bad, this past summer I was in Bangkok, Thailand and it took us an Hour to move less than a mile is some places, so I'm kinda thankful.

Lets all just take a nice long minute and thank all of our NO TAX Republicans who have screwed us ALL!

Im actually a conservative but the republicans in VA are getting to be rediculous! There is NO help in sight for NOVAs traffic problems because the state has NO money! I hate taxes as much as any one else but w/o them the state has no money for roads and other very important things
