It still amazes me how there is no really good alternative for those who happen to be coming through our area heading north besides I95. 95 cant even hold the people who LIVE in VA let alone those that are using it to go farther north.

Today at like 2 pm Minnieville road was backed up. it took me like 20 min to go mile and a half or 2 miles. From Caton Hill Rd. to Smoketown. There are 4 lights in that 2 mile section.

By the way, i went to Miami a few weeks ago and its not much better on 95 down there. I think its just a 95/Rt 1 thing. Coming home from Fl. took me 19 1/2 hours. It's like a 14 hour drive. 95 was bumper to bumper pretty much the whole way through Fl. Miami to Jacksonville. I was driving my friends civic with a stage 2 clutch and 8 lb flywheel. Haha his car loved it...

I was in Miami for spring break and WMC. I thought the traffic down there was a lot worse than up here. Damn highways are all north/south east/west no freakin diagonal highway except FL Turnpike and it wasnt close to where i wanted to go.

HA! I have you ALL beat.

I live in Burke.

I take my son to private school in Herndon in the morning by 8am.

I work in Arlington.

1.5 hours there. 2 hours home is the average.

I would probably kill myself if I had to do that.
