Northern Virginia Traffic Madness....
Sometimes after work traffic would be so bad I'd choose to work extra hours just to avoid it. If you ever visited another city like Philadelphia you'd be surprised how little traffic they have even at rush hour.
The reason that it bad is that most of the people that are on the roads work up in D.C. But dont live in D.C. The other cities most of the people live within the city and take a taxi or the subway
they said that once the mixing bowl is done, whenever that may be....it will only save people 11 seconds off their trip AND you have to know which lane leads to where youre going.
route 1 heading towards woodbridge from north and in the morning going north like today it took me 45 minutes to go 5 miles south on route 1
True about NoVA. I avoid Sterling/Tysons on Route 7 at 7.30 AM.
The worst congestion has to be the Baltimore beltway. Anytime of the day or night, 95 is always congested at Baltimore.

Oh and Burke to Reston is even worse.

no what fucking sucks is the fact that even for a fender bender, they will call out 3 cops 2 ambulances and a fire truck and close one lane of traffic.
its happened to me 3 fucking times already.

66 East every morning is a parking lot and 66W every afternoon is a parking lot. The key is to live East of where you work like I do. I live in Fairfax and work in Manassas. Every morning I go the opposite direction of traffic and vice versa in the afternoon, it's great.
