I'll try this again.... what sorta things can we do to thank the owner/community? It is a PRIVILEGE that we are allowed a safe, dry spot to hold a meet in that is mostly non-bothered by police. We need to bring more business in to that shoppong center, hold like a car wash (retarded sounding i kjnow) or something of the like that shows grattitude and maturity to both the owner and the surrounding community.

OR tape the retards doing it and show the cops. And I agree with the PMs only thing, only problem is, someone will tell someone, who will bring 10 retards, who will tell 50 more people. Or jsut charge 5 bucks to get in...

 

I think you've got a good idea there Skeeter. If we could find someway to actually have a POSITIVE influence on the rest of the community then it I doubt anyone would give us such a hard time.

 

Nobody would show if they had to pay a 5 dollar cover. Or people would show, but the numbers would be dramatically decreased. Also, what happens if somebody refuses to pay cover?? Who is security?? What would be proof of purchase?? While the cover fee is a great concept in initial thought, it makes the whole deal very complex...much too complex for a simple friday night gathering.

Here is what we should do to show appreciation to Mac for allowing us to use that shopping center as a meeting area. We need to dedicate a parking area (preferably in the back of the lot/out of the way so that it would definitely be noticeable) that all tricked out cars/people who goto the DragVA meets would use whenever they goto FFX Town Center. Furthermore, consider FFX Town Center as your first choice to go see a movie, Baja Fresh, Tower, etc. If you stick to a particular parking area, and you place priority on using whatever FFX Town Center has to offer as opposed to other places, then there should be enough of us there at any one time during the day/night to where Mac could just walk out, see a group of modified cars parked together, and proof that the DragVA meets are in fact increasing revenue to FFX Town Center businesses...which is the reason he wants us there to begin with.

 

designate a parking area... sounds like a step. maybe people could buy a pass or some such deal, for excluisve rights there (to the parking area), like $10-15 a pass, or something, and there somehow be benefits (discounts or something)... ? someone would obviously have to work this out with the owner. dunno, just an idea.

 

What if we were to charge admission to just one of the meets as a fundraiser for a good cause or something like that? I'm sure that would show people that we really are decent people who aren't looking to cause any problems. I'm not sure how realistic this is, however at 5$ per car with almost 300 people there thats a good amount of cash.

I doubt that will happen. The whole car meet gives off a vibe of people being too selfish. Nobody there is truely out there to look out for one another. Maybe their car groups/clubs/friends. It's too segregated.

 

maybe we could donate to charity or something??
