That was the first drag meet i ever went to. It was so horrible. 4 cops surrounding this one guy for speeding in parking lot. Some stupid 2 striped monte carlo doing a burnout. It was a night to remember indeed.

just get the plate # of hte screw ups and tell the cops.. that's what we did down here when we had the lot.... people would control the entrances/exits to the lot, so if you caused trouble, they'd keep you there till a cop came to deal with you
i am going to get a hold of someone at the local police station and tell them what we are about
burn outs and stupid stuff are not going to stop no matter what
i dont think there should be a certain group to "patrol" the area. I think everyone should care enough to tell people off because it gives everyone a bad name when some dumb ass screws something up. I wish Mac or who ever the management of where ever we are wouldnt have to worry about us and need to watch us.
i think everyone on this board should watch and keep everyone else on check

yeah mac was deffinatly pissed cuz he came out of the elevator (right near where i was parked) and started yelling....but he has a point. he had alot of calls that night and i would get tired of it too....he is nice enough to still let us use the basement so we should show him gratitude by not fuckin around. the BJs parkin lot was a pretty good place so if we can get that again then it would be cool.
by the way ......the meet was good while it lasted!

you're not going to stop it by word of mouth... idiots won't listen.. you will HAVE to institute some form of control or people WILL NOT behave
Wherever the location, keep it away from residental developments. I thank Mac for letting everybody meet up in the Town Center, but when you have a bunch of loud cars with people turning the music up and enjoying themselves next to a large group of apartments/townhomes, your just asking for a noise complaint. It sucks that the residents of the apartments/townhomes forget what it is like to be young and feel that they should file a complaint, but that is the current situation.
As others have mentioned above, you gotta respect the property and the people. I heard that some girl was trying to mess up someone's ride....we don't need people coming to these meets looking to vandalize our valuable possessions. The girl who was vandalizing was lucky she wasn't put into the hospital...I understand though that she got taught a lesson in respecting other people's property.
Also, we don't need people doing burnouts and street racing. FFX is not Rockville. If the burnouts and street racing keep up, Rockville is FFX 3 months from now (or less if some kid kills himself street racing in NOVA and they somehow form a bullshit link to FFX Town Center in an effort to justify breaking the meets up). Anybody who has been to Rockville recently knows that what I mean by that is that currently in Rockville the cops are busting it up very badly due to the street racing deaths of River Road and the link between River Road and Rockville as the staging area (before anybody jumps down my throat about "revealing" anything don't, because if the cops didn't know Rockville was the staging ground, they wouldn't be cracking down on it like they are, and The Washington Post certainly wouldn't have highlighted it in their recent article about street racing).
The unfortunate thing though is that once the meet gets established, regardless of location, you will draw people who don't give a damn about the people who established the meet nor do they give a damn about the location that the meet is being held in. The only surefire way to not draw these people is to not have such a large and successful meet. I dunno about everybody else, but I refuse to let the actions of other careless bastards prevent me from taking part in something I enjoy.
