i am devoting this thread to letting u know what happened and what the deal is with ffx town center and to discuss future plans and Ideas for the monthly dragva meet

please dont post any BS

FFX town center has definatly bitten the bullet for us by allowing our meets as long as we keep them under control. Mac the director has definatly takin alot of shit for allowing out meet so if u are at any ofd the future meets, try and find him and thank him.

on friday night, the reason we were kicked was because of the OVER 200 COMPLAINTS for various reasons from neighbors and people in the shopping center through out the night.

Originally we were only allowed to meet in the basement and people took it upon themselves to go up to the roof which is perfectly understandable cause of the nice weather. The first few meets when we were in the basement, no one even knew we were in there except for the police because we did look suspicious as hell. The sole reasons we are not allowed to be on the roof are because : too loud for town houses next to garage, movie traffic, and too many dumb asses rouring up and down the levels.

The police do not have a problem with us being there and cant make us leave unless Mac tells them to ( who is the only person who wants us there). Of course they are going to patrol the area around the meet just like any other meet in the Metro area.

Over the winter we are welcome to use the basement and work our way up because it isnt a disturbance to the other peo[ple in the towncenter and Mac thinks us being down there is actually better than other people trying to mess up the town center on a weekend night.

HERE IS THE BUISNESS -----

i just wanted people to put some suggestions on where we should meet when the winter is over. Mac has openly invited us to meet in the two parking lots infront of ffx towncenter where we wont be annoying any movie people and and shoppers and we wont be making any noise complaints because the meet will be nowhere near the townhouses. The two parking lots are both very big and open. This is where i want the meets to be from now on after the winter basement meets because we are welcome there and the police and management know we are there not to street race and make trouble. Post ur ideas

everyone spread everything i have said to anyone u may now that comes to this meet that may not read this board.

 

The problem mostly is that the people who come to the meet, but don't read the board, don't know how serious the complaints are. They just think that its just a place to mess around and do shit. People that don't read the forums but come to the meet, need to be informed about this for real.

 

True, but it is our responsibility to police ourselves and make sure that we aren't doing things that will get us kicked out. You can't have an "us and them" mentality with this. If we get kicked out again, it is our fault, not just the fault of a few people. We need to make sure it is known by all that some behavior is not acceptable.

I've been part of setting up a bunch of meets with the VW Vortex group and found that Mac at FFX Town Center is pretty much the only guy in the area that is cool about letting people get together like this. We've been booted out of pretty much every other imaginable place, from the toilet bowl in Tysons Corner, to Dulles Town Center, to George Mason University, to Starbucks in Glen Burnie, MD.

We need to treat this place like it is a privelege to be there, because it is. If we get booted from here, there are not many places else to go.

I think Mac and Deon(the security guard) have done a good thing with letting us be there an all, but i think we should DEFINITLEY have it in the basement from now on until next spring/fall/whenever, then move it to the parking lot. ill try to spread this around ASAP

 

true, but if the meets moved, the ppl causing the problems wouldnt be there anymore cause they dont read the boards

haha..honestly i think you directors of the meet should look for a new place to have the meet at..just because there's always gonna be stunners and ricer's coming to the meet, and at Fairfax towne center, there is too much traffic and too many ppl already there for the attraction that was already there before the meet...its been going good so far..but eventually someone is going to get into a major accident or end up hitting a pedistrian..i say try to find the same scenerio of a place, but a place with less ppl and traffic..some where, we wouldnt get much attention
