actually, when my exhaust pulled itself apart, i drove for 3 days on open header and never got fucked with. It sounded so cool. I wana do it again.

 

dont come to newport news because they are anal about exhaust. I got a ticket for my 3 inch open downpipe while just sitting there. On the other side of the cop was my boy bam in his supercharged open header mustang just revvin away and the cop pulled me. Imports vs. the world.

I get pulled over for exhaust at least once a month now.. it's ridiculous.. got pulled on my lunch break the other day. Anyway.. as long as your exhaust is 'like original' meaning, you car came with a cat, and muffler, and you have a cat and muffler, you're in the clear. If you have a car like mine that has no muffler and put bigger, freeer pipes on it, you're STILL in the clear because it's LIKE ORIGINAL. and that's all that matters in court! (I'm still running stock pipes btw)
