I know there's a decibel limit for exhausts, but what's the number? TIA

it really dosn't have to do with anything, u'll get pulled over for just having a shiny coffee can N1 style exhaust even if you coast by a cop, whos on exhaust watch, making no noises at all.

95 dB is the decibel limit. It is only a California State Law though, IT IS NOT FEDERAL LAW. Which means, decibel don't mean crap in VA, MD, or DC.

If it is not stock (OEM) equipment, it's illegal. Period.

sounds like you got a mustang from what your user name is, so your exhaust is too loud already, but you wont get pulled over for it

Yea i didnt see that. So if its a domestic, you could run open headers and no one would care

I actually did that when I did my header install.....cops didn't mess with me. We went driving around on edsall where there are tons of cops too. None of them even looked. It was awesome.
