Could I use a Snell SA2005 rated helmet for the MSF course? I have one of those, but not an M rated helmet for right now. If I can use it for the course, once I pass and such I'll obviously get a proper M2005 rated helmet.
I'll try and see if I can get on the list for an MSF around here soon then.

You need to find someone that is willing to take the time to show you how everything works. Spend a few hours with a buddy and let him show you how to balance the bike, how to shift gears, how to manage the clutch at low speeds and how to use the rear brake.
Seriously, if you can't find someone then ill even help you when I get some free time. DO NOT just jump on a bike and try to start riding it.

i drove my car to richmond to trade for a 600rr....i didnt know how to ride AT ALL!!! i made it home in like 2 hours. it was either ride it home or attempt to get it towed.i rode it home in 45 degree weather late night with huge trucks flying by me .by the time i got to newport news i had gotten the hang of it.
