Good luck to you too. Let me know how it turns out. I plan on posting the results of my trial on here. I might write a book about it ten years from now if I get off, that book would be called "If I did do it..."

I went to court today for reckless and filed for a continuence, seeing how my record sucks, and the ones with the clean records... well they were going to jail

How encouraging. I'd rather do all the jail and community service in the world than have my insurance go up now. Spring semester is coming up... I need to sell sperm or something. Anyone know the going rate for that? I'll likely need to donate by the gallons.

Ummm.... im pretty sure that your insurance will still go up even if you do jail time. It's not like a 90 in a 55 just disappears into thin air.

Definitely look into getting a lawyer. Like stated, reckless is way worse on your driving record. Stays on for seven years, points assigned to it are much more than just speeding, and your insurance will be much higher.

+1 i have been toning it down a lot lately. been doing the speed limit to work and all. but its funny to see ppl getting all road rage like because i am in the far right lane to 5 mph over. then they actually blow past me doing like 75 - 90. but i have noticed i get better gas milage doing the speed limits.

Yea man, I know it doesn't disappear. But maybe the plea bargaining will bring it down or drop the charge if I pay a big enough fine or do a large amount of community service. Why don't the ever pull over the douchebags in the minivans that go +90?
