He told me $250 in a PM a few months ago. Obviously he can charge whatever he feels at the time, and charging $150 for this guy he was basically saying fuck you to all the people talking shit.

He is a business owner and can charge what he wants. If people want to pay it, then that is on them.

you are very correct, the quality of the job was great and would be worth $400 to me, there is a lifetime warranty so its worth every penny to me, im not a cheap ass, i dont care how much something is as long as its perfect, thats what happened in this case the job is perfect and im pleased!!!

thanks for all the input from all of you and thanks again to RPM !!!

Your absolutely right Strychnine, it was also summer at the hottest point, funny though I had customers kicking my door in throwing $350 at me non stop and I decided to give you a deal at $250, and yes we will honor your vehicle this month for $150, you know back in the day when I was a young buck tuner, my veeeery 1st tuner car was a 1986 Black Dodge Daytona Turbo Z, got a taste of that turbine and it was "ON"! I basically lived at car shops, I couldn't get enough of hooking my cars up, all I wanted was to pay my money and to go to car shows and represent my pride and joy, artwork and my own personal innovative new styles, but kept getting constantly screwed by B.S. shops, faulty alarms, improperly installed audio, half assed tint jobs, just to name a few, causing me to miss shows, constantly returning just to reschedule my vehicle, inturn borrowing friends rides, etc. I couldn't understand why such a good thing be so bad, that's when I finally got fed up, it was a calling, so I flashed the letters "TA" spotlight beam in the air...........and the "TINTASSASSIN" legend was born, a terminator or should i say assassinator of wack shops, since March of 1997 in Richmond, Va. there has been 38 at last count, the only traces are broken down signs, I will "NEVER" let anyone in my presence experience anything of that, this is the RPM / AWT way, the best period or we don't do it.

P.S. This month we will do any vehicle for $150, in fact we will beat any so-called competitor price period! Just ask. Also stay tuned the "BIGGEST" announcement of the history of RPM is coming soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's my take:

I had RPM tint a 99 accord sedan several years ago... no problem.

I had them tint a ford ranger extended cab... no problem, except jerk at the counter rolled his eyes at me when I walked in and asked if the truck was done at 5:15 and had to wait until 6 to get it, truck was dropped off before RPM opened. I didn't care I had to wait, I just expect a professional response.

Then I had them tint another 99 accord, coupe... The gave me the wrong valet key when I picked it up and drove home. When I was home later, I got a call from the shop. They didn't want to come get it, but I offered to bring it in since I just bought the car and we negotiated a 'deal' for CAI I wanted for the car. I took the key in, got a half ass thanks, but was told they would hook me up. When I came in the next week to have the tint on the 'dot matrix' on the back window fixed I attempted to discuss the purchase of CAI or RAM for the car and was treated like an idiot. I admit my car isn't high end... But I expected better.

I got a PM reply on here once from someone at RPM, but a private message with no full name and direct number to call to discuss a resolution is just another instance to 'act dumb' when I show up. You knuckleheads at RPM burned your bridge with me and a lot of other people I know or even those I don't who ask me who tinted my car. It's still just a daily driver, but looks nice enough... except for the tint on the back window was never layed down on the dots... I'm more concerned about the treatment than the tint.

Oh, what's my recommendation? Avoid the 'attitudes', go somewhere else.

Now let's get this April 08 story straight, when your "WIFE" came in to pick up the key, she could not identify her own key, there were 2 99 Honda Accord keys in the shop, "ONE" with a Carmax key chain and the other "WITHOUT" a key chain(just a single key) we took both keys and asked her which keys where hers, she specifically said well we "DID NOT" purchase the car at "CARMAX" therefore through deduction we handed your wife the other key. Only to find out later that you "DID" purchase the car from Carmax, even though it was not our fault, we decided to "REWARD" you with a discount on product that you wanted to purchase, now if that is not customer service, what is? money in your pocket for a mistake you made, well that's the RPM way, once again BBB Golden Torch award, if you want my left arm or put a blue corporate apron on and worship you, I can't go that far, only thing I can offer is superior service, throwing in "rolling our eyes and acting dumb" when we are offering you discount is a little overboard but to each his own, we're sorry you feel that way but to be honest read this entire post from the beginning and our customer service will speak for itself, I say again BBB Golden Torch Award, you can't get this award and be in business 23 years doing customers or customer service wrong.
