For the airbag stuff you have to be careful. We have troopers who come through one month and say if the entire system is removed it will pass. And then the next month come through and say it will fail. Honestly, the state of VA's inspections can be a mess of confusion. You might pass an inspection. But go down the road a ways and get ticketed by a state trooper for an illegal exhaust because its not the factory exhaust.

that has nothing to do with safety. they dont give a shit. hell. if you drove up with no exhaust at all, 5% tint all around (except front windshield), car was slammed on the ground (with legitimate suspension) and passed everything on their checklist, they would have to pass you. you could literally pull out of the shop, and get tickets out the ass for your car.

VA Inspection is only a safety inspection. It is not a search for improper equipment.

argh. i'm going through the should i shouldn't i with the airbag stuff in my track toy. i know people who have passed without an airbag on the drivers' side, but i don't know. i guess i could run without the bag until inspection time and then install it.. or try and get it passed without, and if it fails, re install it.

ok guys stupid question even though I just read all 3 pages and didn't understand shit. Basically, I may be moving down so want to get these things clear:

I have an HKS steering wheel so obviously no driver airbag. The passenger air bag was removed as well. No Airbag light is present either. Will it pass/fail? If Fail what all needs to be done?

Also, does VA have emissions/smog? Does it go along with the inspection? I do not pass emissions in my current state, I have a cat-less HKS Ti Exhaust.
