Recent Inspection Failure Info:
Since we're on the subject. If you remove your SRS steering wheel and replace it with a nonSRS wheel, it will pass correct? SRS only fails if the airbag is still present and the light is on, correct?
Yes. It will fail.
If you guys have any doubts, call the state police I'm sure they won't mind to answer your questions.
The power steering rack just wasn't anything I'd ever heard about before and couldn't believe it. You would think you could remove any luxury item you wanted but the law says if a belt was on it then it needs to be present. I wonder if they look for the pulley to determine if the car had power steering. Would the CTR pulley be good enough to pass? I've already removed the pump, lines, hoses, and resevoir so putting it back isn't really an option.
I feel it steers with minimal effort and didn't think a manual swap was necessary but I guess a manual rack and quaife steering quickener would be the absolute way to solve that issue, but also the most expensive and time consuming.
I will also remove the back seat cushion and put it in the trunk for the next inspection.
I'm going to take it to a Honda place in Richmond next week because the guys there are comfortable with B swaps.

i just failed my state inspection due to missing one lug nut on one of my wheels...i had four of the five...and i also had a bad turn signal socket (both fixed though and passed now)
Except that doesn't pass. The SRS light HAS to light up upon start up. If it doesn't come on, or doesn't shut off, it fails.
