need opinions on brakes
Slotted rotors help performance, but not on the street. The slots are to get rid of brake dust and to vent gases that would get trapped between the pad and the disc. They have no other function. They aren't there for cooling.
There really isn't any need for slots on the street though, because you shouldn't be braking that hard and that often to become a problem. So they're race only, unless you want the looks.

I like the 5 years i have been going to the track, I think i have seen like 5-10 cars with slotted rotors. Half were stupid fast porches and the rest were random race cars.
wow. as far as i know, slotted rotors only help to cool your braking system under extreme driving conditions (someone correct me if i am wrong)
if you absolutely have to upgrade your brakes, i recommend a 99-00 si or integra complete disc brake conversion. best bang for your buck, in my opinion

Get some Brembo blanks from Bap Geon.

i can however, vouch for the non existent feel of drum brakes that are currently on his civic. drums ftl
well i basically wanted to go slotted because i dont have abs, and my car loves to lock up in the rain, and ive been told by everyone that slotted rotors, for one will help prevent locking up, and 2 just stop better anyways. any comment on that?
