Let me throw in my $.02 on this one. First off, thats instant jail time for sure. Whether it be a day, couple weeks, or a couple weeks, there will be jail time. A street racing offense it just as bad as a freakin DUI or extremely high speed reckless ticket. Here was my situation last week...

I had my court case with of course... JUDGE COCHRAN. I was doing 105 in a 50, first time offense, no street racing involved, no drinking, i have +5 points on my record, and an attorney. She sentenced me to 90 days in jail without suspended time. Fortunately for me, i had 3 representatives from my command (USMC) to vouch for me, and my buddy's mom is in charge of all the bailiff's so she talked to the judge afterwards. The next day, the judge called me back in and released me, suspending the remaining 89 days for the next 2 years of good behavior.

It DOES depend on what judge you have, but for street racing, i dont think its gonna matter what judge you have. An attorney cannot convince a judge that it wasnt racing if the cop had it on video. Who knows, but good luck. Im done doin dumb shit on these roads, its just not worth it.

 

Sell the trailer and find you a lawyer.

i got the same ticket in missouri though......but i got 2 years probation, 3 different classes i had to take, 40 hours comunity service, and about $1,500 in court fines....plus lawyer cost......but GET A LAWYER!!!!!

If you get a good lawyer, it shouldnt be too bad. Its hard to prove racing.
