Wow .... how did I miss this thread.

Im not saying the OP's story is 1000% FALSE, but I can say I find it VERY VERY UNLIKELY that Rick had a hard time finding his way around a foxbody.

Its like saying Kienan doesnt know his way around a Subie, or Shad doesnt know his way around a Honda.

I personally have had BOTH my supercoupe and my 2 Foxbodys worked on over at Ricks, as well as a handful of board members from this board as well as almost every car over on TWR all with great reviews.

I AM NOT SAYING THE MAN IS NOT CAPABLE OF MISTAKES .... but im sure that we havnet heard a 1/3rd of this story.

So a motor was pulled from one car, but not installed in the next, OBVIOUSLY theres a reason, especially if its been a YEARS time. Seems like a money thing on OP end if I were to take a guess. He may of paid up front for a motor to be PULLED OUT of donor car .... and since got and estimate of condition of parts, and labor, and what not from then on out .... I dunno .... I know if hes NOT worked on it .... theres a good reason.

why drop your car off when you dont have the funds to fix it????you have no idea when he will call you and say hey your cars ready and then what...

oh um i dont have any money

well then you get charged storage and end up losing the car...

i think in your situation you need to man up and go tell him your broke and ask for your car back

when you go take the title with you and when he says he will process it and take it from you just hand him the title and tell him your sorry....and walk out

learn from this experience.
I like you.

If you dropped the car off for him to do the work, maybe when you started getting low on money two months ago, you should have said something to him. It's your fault. After the first week, I would'a said something. You waited more than a week!!??? Hand him the title. He's probably going to charge you storage, for however long it's been there, regardless of the work performed.

I have a hard time believing the op's story. Rick has worked on my mustang and alot of other people's car that I personally know. Ive never had an issue. Somehow I belive the op is to blame.

Yes. You bought the car, you should get the title, either immediately or as soon as possible in the event that a bank has the title. So you bought a car that you don't have a title for, and so you don't actually own it.
