first off did that piece of the head gasket come off on the head? second make sure use a straight edge to see iff everthing is fine and then take your head in to be shaved just to be on the safe side.

there was never gasket there in the first place is what it looks like, which, in that case, would mean you got the wrong gasket. but you say you didnt, so, i guess thats not it. but to me, that seems like the only reasonable excuse.

sohc and dohc has nothing to do with it when it LOOKS like you got the wrong gasket. i mean, how else can you explain it?

i've had a 90-91 gasket, and a 92-93 in the past, seeing that my code is b18a1, i'm pretty damn sure i didn't get a 94+ gasket, so you figure

no your fine, if it wasnt giving you problems before, dont worry about it, was that the head gasket for the vtec head, or the ls block, im guessing the head right?
